Terms of Service
Last updated 22 August 2026
1. Who you're dealing with
UP-TO-DATE Catalog is operated by UP-TO-DATE Web Design, established in Belgium. Reach us at hello@uptodatewebdesign.be. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. What the service does
UP-TO-DATE Catalogturns a website, a spreadsheet or a PDF into a page-flip catalog you can edit, publish, embed, print and measure. We may add, change or retire features; we won't remove something you rely on without notice where we can avoid it.
3. Your account
You're responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you may not use the service if we've previously banned you.
4. Your content stays yours
Products, images, copy, logos, PDFs and everything else you bring or create remain yours. You give us the permission we need to run the service: to store, process, reproduce and display that content in order to generate catalogs, serve your public links, send the emails you ask us to send, and make backups. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You confirm you have the right to use what you upload or ask us to import — including when you point us at a website — and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
5. Fair use of the importer
Please don't use UP-TO-DATE Catalog to:
- copy a site you have no right to reproduce;
- publish unlawful, deceptive or infringing material;
- send unsolicited bulk mail through catalog enquiries or comments;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service or the sites we fetch on your behalf;
- resell the service as your own without a written agreement with us.
We apply rate limits and other technical controls to keep the service usable for everyone, and we may suspend an account that's breaking these rules.
6. Plans and payment
The Free plan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page, excluding VAT or other taxes we're required to add.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in Settings. Your plan stays active for the rest of the period you've paid for, and then the account reverts to Free — we don't delete your catalogs when that happens, but limits that apply to Free start applying again. We don't give partial refunds for unused time except where the law requires it. If a payment fails we may downgrade the account after giving you a chance to fix it.
7. Availability
We work to keep UP-TO-DATE Catalogup and fast, but we don't promise uninterrupted service, and there's no service level agreement on any plan unless we've signed one with you. Maintenance, third-party outages and the occasional failure will happen.
8. Ending things
You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, creates legal risk, or has gone unpaid — normally with notice first, immediately if the situation is serious. On closure we delete your content within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records (invoices, for example).
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data — yours and your readers' — is set out in our Privacy Policy. Where you collect personal data through your catalogs (enquiries, lead capture, comments), you're the controller of that data and we process it on your instructions.
10. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change materially affects you we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Belgium, and the courts there have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory protections you have as a consumer where you live. Talk to us first: most things are quicker to fix by email than by lawyer.
